SUNDAY IN THE PARK

THIRTIETH ANNIVERSARY

October 4, 2009

Noon – 6:00 p.m.

Historic Oakland Foundation is proud to present the 30th annual Sunday in the Park from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4. The Victorian street festival began in 1979 and offers fun, food, and entertainment for all ages. The 30th anniversary edition promises to be better than ever.

Enjoy a memorable afternoon of delicious food from Six Feet Under, The Varsity, Stella, Nicks To Go and more. There will be a variety of live musical entertainment, an artists market, living history demonstrations, storytellers, Irish dancers and a scavenger hunt.

Don’t miss your opportunity to enter some of the magnificent mausoleums! Guests are encouraged to participate in the Victorian costume contest and photography contest. Carriage tours and free walking tours will be offered. Oakland’s traditional Teddy Bear Tea will be held in the children’s area. The Bubbleman will be on hand in the kids’ area, too!

The suggested donation is $3. Admission for children 3 and under is free. Free parking.
