My Lead Article

I want to talk about the Steam Punk Movement in My lead article, But I have not found one yet that I like. Here are some Pictures and a definition to illustrate my idea.

Via Wikipedia :

"Steampunk is a sub-genre of fantasy and speculative fiction that came into prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. The term denotes works set in an era or world where steam power is still widely used—usually the 19th century, and often Victorian era England—but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne, or real technological developments like the computer occurring at an earlier date. Other examples of steampunk contain alternate history-style presentations of "the path not taken" of such technology as dirigibles, analog computers, or digital mechanical computers (such asCharles Babbage's Analytical Engine); these frequently are presented in an idealized light, or with a presumption of functionality.

Steampunk is often associated with cyberpunk and shares a similar fanbase and theme of rebellion, but developed as a separate movement (though both have considerable influence on each other). Apart from time period and level of technological development, the main difference between cyberpunk and steampunk is that steampunk settings usually tend to be less obviously dystopian than cyberpunk, or lack dystopian elements entirely.

Various modern utilitarian objects have been modded by individual artisans into a pseudo-Victorian mechanical "steampunk" style, and a number of visual and musical artists have been described as steampunk."

While MST3K calls to me from the television....

These have changed a bunch since the first square, but I am finally happy with them. I just felt to guilty about those ding dang darn clipping masks.

Seriously rain, I don't like you like that.

Here are the three more serious posters.
What do you think?

H1N1 flyers.

The idea is that they require a second look yet are legible from a distance.

Do you want a mail order bride or groom? I stumbled on this while searching for paper craft.

Here is a glass representation of the H1N1 virus by artist Luke Jeram. More viruses here.

Inspirations

I love this album cover, but I am very inspired by music art in general.
Shawn Feeny Musical anatomy. this is Astor Piazzolla, and Argentinian musician.
I know this is a book, and no it does not have pictures, but Herriot is one of my favorite writers and when I am stuck, I just read a few chapters to relax pry my brain out.
Alphonse Mucha's art is so beautiful.
Honestly, when the going gets tough, I get coffee, throw it around, and hope to be inspired.

Neat stuffs
