lay lady lay
I don't have any money to eat lunch so I'm doing his instead. Um. I am almost there? The only problem is that there are only so many straight hours and can mve these little letters around before I need A BREAK.

Hot off my little spinny chair.
something borrowed something blue, something ELLA
Oh my goodness, I have been drawing this creature for so long.
Today I wrote her a letter, because I feel as though we've become very close.
ANYway.
Here's a new idea I'm working with. Why not have the wire being activly plugged into...anything!
The letters I drew with some cheap stencils I picked up at the bookstore (on sale $0.49)
I'm liking it, and I have an awesome idea for my ads, but more later. I have to shower now.
P.S. how do you feel about her shoes?

She's got a new nose...and other things.
So today I took ella and mercilessly traced her and I decided that I cannot avoid head phones. Oh well. I like them there.
also I...
- made her back arm shorter
- straightened her nose.
- made her hands and feel a little more hand and feet-ie.
- headphones
- swirl for motion and letter placement.

By George I've got it.
Choice A is Finally here!
Recently having moved to Inman Park, Ella Guru Music shop needs me!
The store is lovely and so pleasant inside, but the Sign needs help.
I though it was a spa but then I saw the posters in the window.
The owner, Don Radcliff is very nice and was eager to work with me. He seems to be hard working and I couldn't help but want to do his store.
I really would like to help them grow.
Now I know what Stan meant about seeing ideas the minute you walk into the store.

I Found this interesting.
I found this link to a web sight on Digg sighting the 60 most wanted Photoshop tutorials and resources.
Check it out because it is brimming with sweet things.
Check it out because it is brimming with sweet things.
And I know this isn't entirely related but...
I whipped up this flier tonight for a cause that I find very worthy and would like to share.
This movement was begun to get dog chaining banned in Fulton county and has already made a ton of progress. The bill is now being considered and we need every voice that we can get in order to get it passed.
It's our turn to protect those who have been so loyal and loving to us.

Re branding.
I thought this was interesting. You can read the step by step of re branding Martha Stewart after her prison stint.
HERE
Bad logos.
This Logo is hideous. Shiny, clashing, unbalanced.
This Logo looks like a Buttocks or perhaps a place McDonalds went to die. Magnes Plumbers?
Creepy, not awe inspiring. If I want surveilance I want class, not crazy rainbow vision cyclops eyes.
OK, this is supposed to be a place you go to paint? Funny, because to me it looks like a place you go to dementedly write jerky lines and murder.

Real Energy
Here I go (or) Taking the plunge.
This was my final for our Logo design. I struggled with this to no end, but I felt good about the final result.
We had to make business cards, so I made two versions, one with my simple logo and one with the ornate version.
Book covers
Fox Theater poster. I wanted to get away from the cartoon-y and 'oh so disney' presentation of the little mermaid, but not go as far as real life. This was my first real rendezvous with illustrator.
